Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess Alaska RDH license
• Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Strong communication with patients of all ages
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
• Conduct patient assessments and screenings for oral health conditions
• Take digital dental x-rays
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history in EHR (Dentrix)
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
