Job summary

Sumter Family Dental Center is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team, performing cleanings, preventive care, and patient education in a friendly, patient-centered practice in Sumter, SC.

You will work Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly wage of $38–$42, use EHR systems, and collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care while upholding HIPAA and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed dental hygienist with valid SC license.
• Familiarity with dental office procedures and EHR systems.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients of all ages.
• CPR/BLS and radiography certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing.
• Apply topical fluoride and sealants.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and home care.
• Perform periodontal charting and document findings in patient records.
• Maintain infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• HYGIENE ASSISTANT PROVIDED TO TAKE X-RAYS, ASSIST DENTIST WITH EXAM, CLEAN AND SET UP OPERATORIES AND STERILIZE INSTRUMENTS!!

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team.

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide preventive care, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

Pay

• $38 - $42 per hour

Requirements

• License & Certification: Licensed dental hygienist
• Valid Dental Hygiene license in South Carolina
• Familiarity with dental office procedures and electronic health record systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage patients of all ages, including pediatrics
