Pay

• $48 - $60 per hour

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

Days: Monday through Friday.

Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Requirements

• License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Licensed dental hygienist, X-ray / Radiography Certification
• Licensure: Current state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Education: Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR Certification.
• Core Skills: Proven experience in providing prophylaxis, taking X-rays, and maintaining clinical sterilization procedures.
• Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Compliance: Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Preferences

• Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental hygienist with 3+ years of practice
• Previous mid-level experience in a fast-paced general dentistry practice.
• Advanced proficiency in electronic patient charting and medical scheduling software.
• Demonstrated ability to assist in the administration of patient recall systems.

Job Description

• Perform thorough prophylaxis, including scaling, root planing, restoration polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications.
• Take digital radiographs as prescribed, administer local anesthetics (per state regulations), and place subgingival medicaments for periodontal therapy.
• Communicate professional treatment plans clearly, allay patient anxiety, and counsel patients on proper oral hygiene and the role of nutrition in oral health.
• Manage treatment room disinfection and sterilization protocols, including packaging instruments and operating sterilization units according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately chart periodontal health and maintain detailed dental histories in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in daily team huddles and meetings to review schedules and promote a seamless team-oriented workflow.
