Job summary

Preferred Dental of Cromwell is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our modern, multi-specialty practice in Cromwell, CT. You’ll deliver preventive care, interpret radiographs, and contribute to patient education in a supportive team environment.

We offer a 4-5 day schedule with no evenings or weekends, competitive pay of $45-47/hour plus a $1,500 joining bonus, medical/dental/vision coverage, and a 401(k) with match. CE credits and mentorship support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program.
• Active Connecticut Dental Hygienist license and CPR certification.
• Local anesthesia certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventive and therapeutic hygiene services including cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride application.
• Take and interpret digital radiographs.
• Conduct oral health assessments and periodontal charting.
• Educate and motivate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
