Job summary

Sonrava Health is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join Gentle Touch Smiles in Wilmington. Both experienced hygienists and new graduates are encouraged to apply to grow your career while delivering quality patient care.

You'll provide prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and preventive treatments, chart patient histories, and assist the dentist. Flexible benefits and a supportive team accompany a competitive hourly rate and production bonuses.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel between locations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing and sealant applications.
• Chart patient history, periodontal findings and document care per HIPAA.
• Assist the dentist as directed.
• Administer local anesthetics where allowed by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications
• Accurately chart a review of patient dental history and update as necessary, patient's periodontal health, record provided treatment, and handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act
