Maryland Dental Care in Nottingham, MD, is seeking a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered team. You’ll review medical/dental histories, perform high-quality X-rays, educate patients on oral health, and collaborate with doctors to deliver exceptional care.

We offer a four-day workweek with Wednesdays off, a competitive pay rate of $60–65 per hour with a production true-up plan, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Hygienist license required.
• Current BLS/CPR certifications.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA and infection control training annually.
• New Dental Hygienist graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical and dental histories.
• Take high quality X-rays and train in digital imaging.
• Educate patients on oral health and oral-systemic connections.
• Document restorations and assist in diagnoses with colleagues.
• Administer prophylaxis, scaling and antimicrobial therapy.
• Assist with cancer, saliva and caries risk screenings.

Full Time Dental Hygienist Schedule

Monday:8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Tuesday:8:30 AM– 4:30 PM

Wednesday:Closed

Thursday:8:30 AM– 4:30 PM

Friday:8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Lunch Break:30 minutes (typically12:30 PM – 1:00 PM). Lunch timing may be adjusted occasionally based on the day's schedule and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patient's medical and dental history.
• Proficiency with taking high quality X-rays and able to train to become proficient in high resolution digital imaging.
• Educating patients about oral health, oral hygiene and oral-systemic connections.
• Documents area of existing restorations, identifying potential areas of concern and using co-diagnosing to educate.
• Administers prophylactic, periodontal scaling and delivery of antimicrobial agents.
• Conducts oral cancer, saliva, caries risk screenings and recommending treatments and therapies.
• Able to train and become proficient in digital scanning, leading edge diagnostic and periodontal therapies, and technologies.
• Able to train to become proficient in collaborating with a team of medical and dental providers for the benefit of patient outcomes.
• Educating patients on Treatment plans, Insurance, and collection of payments.
• Able to participate with the business team on management and accountability of hygiene schedule.
• Keeps a positive rapport with patients and team members.

Qualifications
