Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Hygienist for West Palm Beach to support patient care with scheduled shifts including Wed 9:30am-7pm, Thurs 7:45am-7:00pm, Fri 7:45am-5:00pm, Sat 7:45am-2:00pm. You will be an integral member of the patient care team, providing preventive care and education.

Applicants must hold a Florida license, a degree in dental hygiene, CPR certification, and be committed to ongoing professional development within our hygiene mentor program and extensive resources.

Qualifications

• Current FL dental hygienist license and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in FL and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Experience required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
