Job summary

i4 Dental Lab is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to provide preventive oral health care and support positive patient outcomes. You will perform professional hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, identify areas needing attention, and maintain accurate clinical records.

Responsibilities include comprehensive hygiene assessments, cleanings, radiographs, and collaboration with the dental team to support treatment planning and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Current authorization to practice dental hygiene in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Knowledge of preventive dentistry, periodontal care, radiography, and infection control.
  • Strong patient communication, clinical judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a professional clinical environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, including evaluations of periodontal health, plaque, calculus, and oral tissues.
  • Provide preventive dental hygiene services, including dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and other appropriate procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Take and review dental radiographs and other diagnostic records as authorized and required.
  • Identify oral health concerns and communicate relevant findings to the dentist and clinical team.
  • Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, periodontal care, and other preventive practices.
  • Support individualized treatment planning by documenting clinical findings and patient care needs.
  • Monitor periodontal conditions and provide appropriate follow-up recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories.
  • Follow applicable standards for patient safety, infection control, instrument sterilization, and professional conduct.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and collaborate effectively with the dental team.
