Job summary

Creative Smiles of Champaign is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a friendly team in Champaign, IL. The position offers a Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5pm schedule with two half-days on Fridays monthly, in a modern 11-operatories practice.

You will perform prophy cleanings, SRPs, and new patient exams, while maintaining comprehensive patient records and histories. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois dental hygienist license.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Provide 60-minute prophy cleanings and recalls.
• Conduct SRPs of 60–90 minutes.

• Maintain patient records and medical histories.

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm
• 2 Fridays per month 7:30am-1pm

Patient Schedule

• 60 minute prophys and recalls
• 60-90 minute SRPs
• 90 minute New Patient appointments

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Illinois and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Open to new graduates and experienced hygienists!
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
