Job summary

Family Smiles Dental Care in Rochester Hills is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join Dr. Matievich’s team. The ideal candidate is energetic, team-oriented, and passionate about helping patients achieve their smile goals.

Responsibilities include preventive care, periodontal therapy, routine cleanings, imaging, patient education, and close collaboration with the dental team while maintaining infection control standards. Michigan RDH license and Local Anesthetic/Nitrous Certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RDH license.
• Local Anesthetic and Nitrous Oxide certification.
• Strong communication skills with patients.
• Ability to educate patients and present findings to the doctor.
• Ability to maximize appointment time while delivering high-quality care.

Job Description:

• Provide preventive dental care, periodontal therapy, and routine cleanings
• Perform oral health assessments and screenings
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Educate and motivate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and healthy lifestyle habits
• Collaborate closely with our dentists and clinical team to deliver seamless patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards

Requirements:

• Current Michigan RDH license
• Local Anesthetic and Nitrous Oxide certification

What We’re Looking For:

• A hygienist who is confident in their skills and abilities
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain periodontal disease and oral health to patients
• Someone who can maximize appointment time while delivering thorough, high-quality care
• Comfort in educating patients and presenting findings to the doctor
• A professional who can help build a productive hygiene schedule while ensuring patients receive the care they need

Schedule

• Monday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: OFF
• Every Other Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Appointment Times:

• Each appointment is 60 minutes.
• Tuition Reimbursements - Up to $10,000
