The role involves direct patient care, comprehensive oral assessments, and educating patients on oral hygiene. An accredited Dental Hygiene program and Pennsylvania RDH license are required. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Local anesthesia certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with licensure and established dental hygiene protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive oral assessments, including medical history review, dental and periodontal charting.
• Take and interpret radiographs and intraoral images.
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, debridement, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Monitor blood pressure and assess overall oral health status at each visit.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Document all clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient interactions in the electronic dental record.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.

Job Type: Full Time. 4/10 hour days.

We are seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care within a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered oral healthcare, supporting overall clinic operations, and participating in community dental health education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with licensure and established dental hygiene protocols
• Conduct comprehensive oral assessments, including medical history review, dental and periodontal charting
• Take and interpret radiographs and intraoral images
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, debridement, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Monitor blood pressure and assess overall oral health status at each visitEducate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive care
• Document all clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient interactions in the electronic dental record
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
• Support clinic operations, including recall systems, supply management, and operatory organization
• Assist during peak clinic times and collaborate with dental assistants and providers
• Participate in community dental education programs
