Job summary

Family Dental Care of East Peoria is seeking a Traveling Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, collaborative team and support our Heartland Dental offices regionally from East Peoria, IL. You’ll manage schedules, deliver hygiene care, and participate in a stable, full-time role with flexible hours.

Typical shifts run 7:30am–5:30pm or 8:00am–5:30pm, with opportunities to schedule weeks or months in advance. Expect comprehensive benefits and growth in a dynamic multi-office setting.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois dental hygienist license.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
• Local anesthesia and nitrous certification.
• CPR certification.

Family Dental Care of East Peoria is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and collaborative team!!As a Traveling Dental Hygienist

based out of the Family Dental Care of East Peoria practice, you'll also support our exceptional dental teams at neighboring Heartland Dental offices, including: Willow Knolls Family Dental Alliance Dental Group Peoria Family Dental Care Northgate Family Dental

Typical shifts available will be from the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm or 8:00am-5:30pm. You will be able to determine your availability weeks or even months in advance and accept shifts according to this. This role is perfect for hygienists seeking the stability and benefits of full-time employment while enjoying the flexibility to create a schedule that fits their lifestyle.

Patient Schedule Single column schedule, averaging 7 patients/day 60-minute prophys and recare appointments 60-90 minute SRP appointments 90-minute New Patient appointments

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Illinois
• and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Some prior Dental Hygiene experience preferred!
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
