Ross Family Dental in Oxford, MS is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. You will provide preventive care, perform cleanings, X-rays, and patient education, and work closely with the dentist to follow treatment plans.

We value compassionate care, attention to detail, and teamwork. Requires graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program with active state license; 1–3 years experience preferred. Full-time or PRN opportunities, on-site in Oxford.

Qualifications

• State license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with dental software/EHR a plus.

Responsabilités

• Deliver preventive care including dental cleanings, X-rays, fluoride applications, and periodontal therapy.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and home care recommendations.
• Assist in developing and implementing individual treatment plans with the dentist.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment notes.
• Follow infection control protocols and keep operatory clean and organized.
• Stay updated on advancements in hygiene techniques and tools.
• Support inventory checks and ensure supplies are stocked.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional preventive care, including dental cleaning, X-rays, fluoride applications, and periodontal therapy.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care.
• Assist in developing and implementing individual treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, including assessments, treatments, and recommendations.
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, organized operatory.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques, tools, and technologies.
• Support clinical team with inventory checks and ensure hygiene-related supplies are stocked.
• Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere for patients and team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Active state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records is a plus
• Working in a dental operatory, while performing cleanings and assessments.
• May require standing for extended periods and exposure to dental equipment and materials.
• Collaborative and patient-focused, with an emphasis on building rapport and comfort with patients. Often high-paced, requiring multitasking.
