Job summary

Variety Care Inc is seeking a Dental Hygienist to educate patients on preventive care, take digital X-rays and perform scaling and root planing. The role includes assisting the dentist during busy schedules and maintaining sterile operatories.

Requirements include a dental hygiene degree or certificate, Oklahoma license, anesthesia and nitrous oxide credentials, and ability to work under OSHA guidelines. Bilingual ability is preferred.

Qualifications

• A 2-year certificate or 4-year degree from an accredited college with a dental hygiene degree.
• Certified and Registered by the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry.
• Anesthesia license and Nitrous Oxide license.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients on preventative oral maintenance and takes digital X-rays.
• Scales, root planing, and polishes teeth; operates ultrasonic prophylaxis instruments.
• Assists the dentist during patient schedule overload and maintains aseptic operatories.
• Maintains dental equipment and follows Universal Precautions per OSHA.
• Reports patient dental hygiene conditions to the supervising dentist.
