Job summary

Jacobson Dental Group in Michigan is seeking a Dental Hygienist for a full-time role with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. New grads are welcomed to apply, and the position is supported as part of a large dental network with Heartland Dental guidance and resources.

As part of the hygienist team, you will provide preventive care, educate patients, and collaborate with a broad network of dental professionals to deliver high-quality care and lifetime patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Michigan dental hygienist license and a dental hygiene degree.
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, hygiene procedures and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care and patient education.
• Support the patient care team with thorough charting and documentation.
• Maintain infection control standards and patient safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Michiganand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• New Graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
