Suffolk Complete Dental Care is seeking a Full Time Dental Hygienist in Suffolk, VA. The role offers a $5,000 welcome bonus and a competitive hourly pay of $57-$60, with schedule Mon-Thu, 7:30am-5pm at 6255 College Drive, Suffolk, VA 23455.

The ideal hygienist will have Dentrix and iTero experience, a local anesthesia license (or in progress), and enjoy a collaborative, welcoming team environment with strong patient care values.

Qualifications

• Virginia license and dental hygiene degree (where required).
• Excellent knowledge of dentistry, hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Suffolk Complete Dental Care like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. With the support of a practice manager, a highly trained team on site, coupled with a vast network of experts across the nation, you'll be completely connected to all the resources and support of Heartland Dental.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Virginiaand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
