Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners is seeking an enthusiastic dental hygienist to build relationships with patients while performing preventive care and education.

You will work with dentists to provide prophylaxis, scaling, charting, and patient instruction, with potential travel between locations. We offer comprehensive benefits and strong growth opportunities in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license to practice dental hygiene.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to travel between locations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish, and fluoride/sealant applications.
  • Chart patient history and periodontal health; update records per HIPAA.
  • Assist the dentist as directed.
  • Administer local anesthetics where allowed by the practice act.

Job description

Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic dental hygienist who loves building and maintaining positive relationships with patients to join our team!

Our team of dental hygienists perform a variety of preventative dental procedures as well as educate patients on oral hygiene. From routine cleanings to oral health education, you'll be instrumental in helping our patients achieve and maintain their best smiles. In addition to technical duties, the dental hygienist will play an important role in teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene techniques and offer counseling regarding good nutrition and its impact on oral health.

We also have a dedicated dental hygiene support team for coaching and mentorship for our dental hygienists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications
  • Accurately chart a review of patient dental history and update as necessary, patient's periodontal health, record provided treatment, and handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
  • Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act
