Job summary

Health Center Inc. in New York City is seeking a Dental Hygienist for our Midtown location (14 Penn Plaza).

You will perform patient oral inspections, complete dental charting, and educate patients on preventing oral disease, while supporting a stable schedule with no weekends or overnights. Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene, NY state license, and current BCLS certification; prior dental office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene.
• New York state license in dental hygiene is required.
• Current BCLS certification is required.
• Prior experience in a dental office or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient oral inspection and complete dental charting.
• Perform appropriate dental procedures on patients.
• Educate patients on methods to control oral disease.
• Reassure patients as needed.
• Prepare information for dentist on diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Participate in quality assurance/risk management meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $84,734.49 To $84,734.49 Annually

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform patient oral inspection and complete dental charting.

• Compile information for the dentist or specialist for patient diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Participates in the quality assurance/risk management committee meetings, as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and experience:

• Associate’ degree.
• New York state license in dental hygiene Current BCLS certification.
• Prior experience in a dental office or in a health care setting.
