Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a full-time Traveling Dental Hygienist to support four nearby locations with a designated home base at Montour. This role offers variety beyond a traditional single-offce hygiene position and includes a stable weekly schedule in the Pittsburgh area.

You’ll collaborate with multiple office teams across Montour, Greater Pittsburgh Dental Group, Thorn Run, and Pinnacle, with strong clinical resources, mentor programs, ongoing CE, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Pennsylvania and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening and medical history
• CPR Certification

Full-Time Traveling Opportunity | Pittsburgh Area

Looking for something different than the traditional single-office hygiene role? Join a supportive team where you'll enjoy the variety of working with multiple offices while maintaining a consistent weekly schedule and a designated home base.

Our home office is Montour, and we're hiring a full-time Traveling Dental Hygienist to support four nearby locations. The best part? Greater Pittsburgh Dental Group and Thorn Run are located directly across the street from each other, and Montour and Pinnacle are housed in the same building, making travel between locations simple and convenient.

Weekly Schedule:

• Tuesday: Montour (9:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Wednesday: Thorn Run (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

This role is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys building relationships with multiple teams, values flexibility, and wants a consistent full-time schedule with variety throughout the week.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Pennsylvaniaand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• 0 years of clinical experience
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
