Job summary

Dental Care at Gaston Day is seeking a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team in Lincolnton, NC. Monday–Thursday schedule is provided with the listed hours, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires.

You’ll be part of Heartland Dental’s supported network and play a key role in patient education and preventive care. You’ll work with a team that provides strong mentorship and education opportunities, with competitive benefits and stability from a company with 20+ years of industry

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina dental hygienist license and degree in dental hygiene.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, patient screening and medical history documentation.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene services and patient education as part of the care team.
• Maintain patient records using electronic medical record systems.
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to deliver high-quality care.

Full time Hours Needed: Monday 7:45-5, Tuesday 8-5, Wednesday 8-5, Thursday 7:30-3:00

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in North Carolinaand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Any years of clinical experience
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
