Job summary

Apalachee Family Dental is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team in Johns Creek, GA. The schedule includes regular mornings with occasional Friday coverage, supporting a patient-centered care model.

You’ll work within Heartland Dental’s supported network, delivering high-quality preventive care and maintaining thorough patient records, with ongoing education and mentorship opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Georgia.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
• CPR Certification.

Apalachee Family Dental Care is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team.

Schedule: Mon Tues Wed 6:45 am to 4:30pm Thursdays 7:45am to 4:30pm Occasional Fridays

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Georigaand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experienced and New Grads
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
