Job summary

Western Dental Services, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic dental hygienist to join our team in Indianapolis. You will perform preventative procedures, educate patients on oral hygiene, and help patients achieve their best smiles while collaborating with the dentist(s) in the office.

Qualifications

• Degree/certificate in dental hygiene required.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Willingness to travel between locations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and sealant applications.
• Accurately chart patient dental history, periodontal health, and treatment records in HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist.
• Administer local anesthetics where permitted by law.

Our team of dental hygienists perform a variety of preventative dental procedures as well as educate patients on oral hygiene. • Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications
• Accurately chart a review of patient dental history and update as necessary, patient's periodontal health, record provided treatment, and handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act
