Job summary

Christie Dental Rockledge/Viera in Rockledge, FL is hiring a Dental Hygienist for a part-time role, primarily Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. You will be an integral member of the patient care team, providing preventive care and education in a supportive Heartland Dental network.

Minimum qualifications include a Florida hygienist license, an associate or bachelor’s in dental hygiene, CPR, and experience with hygiene procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Florida dental hygiene license and required degree.
• Strong knowledge of dentistry and hygiene procedures.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused dental hygiene care and education.
• Screen patients and document medical history.
• Maintain compliant charting and radiographs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Florida and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• 1-3 years of clinical experience
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
