Job summary

Western Dental Services, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic dental hygienist to join our team in Converse, TX. You will perform preventative dental procedures, educate patients on oral hygiene, and partner with dentists to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Hygiene degree/certificate required from an accredited program.
• Active state hygiene license required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and fluoride/sealant applications.
• Accurately chart patient dental history and periodontal health; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Assist dentist as directed during procedures.
• Administer local anesthetics where allowed by law.

• Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealant applications
• Accurately chart a review of patient dental history and update as necessary, patient's periodontal health, record provided treatment, and handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide assistance as directed by the dentist
• Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act

Qualifications

• A degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
• CPR/BLS Certification
