• Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist
• Anesthesia certification or authorization per state requirements
• CPR and BLS certifications are preferred
• X-ray certification and Radiography credentials
• Infection control knowledge and OSHA compliance

Responsibilities

• Clinical cleanings: prophylaxis and scaling/root planing.
• Patient assessments: screenings and periodontal charting.

Gleason Dental Clinic is looking for a FT/PT dental hygienist to join our dental family ASAP. Gleason Dental Clinic just past its 58th anniversary of providing great care to the Beatrice, NE area. Come join our family and practice out of our 5,000 square foot, state of the art, cutting edge dental practice and enjoy an easy going, patient centered work day while enjoying benefits.

Pay

• $42 - $46 per hour
• Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

• 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday with hour lunch
• 8am-12pm Fridays

Job Description

• Clinical Cleanings: Performing prophylaxis (standard cleaning) and Scaling and Root Planing (deep cleaning) to remove plaque and tartar.
• Patient Assessment: Conducting oral cancer screenings, checking for gum disease (periodontal charting), and reviewing medical histories.
• Preventive Treatments: Applying fluoride varnishes and dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.
• Imaging: Capturing and interpreting dental X-rays to identify hidden issues like bone loss or interproximal cavities.
• Education: Teaching patients proper brushing and flossing techniques and discussing the link between diet and oral health.
• Anesthesia: Administering local anesthesia or nitrous oxide (depending on state regulations) to keep patients comfortable.
