Job summary

River Run Dental Spa in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support the hygienist with clinical and administrative duties.

You will prepare patients, sterilize instruments, assist during procedures and help with taking and mounting X-rays, while maintaining HIPAA and OSHA compliance.

Candidates should have dental assistant and X-ray certifications; nitrous oxide certification preferred; familiarity with dental software and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Certification as a dental assistant and current X-ray certification.
• Preference for nitrous oxide certification.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
• Experience with dental software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the hygienist with dental hygiene procedures and prepare patients for procedures.
• Take, develop and mount high-quality X-rays.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and follow safety OSHA guidelines.
• Set up instrument trays and assist during procedures.
