Job summary

Great Expressions seeks a dedicated Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dental practice in Georgia. You will work closely with the dental hygienist to prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, and educate patients on oral hygiene best practices.

You will maintain sterilization protocols, manage patient records, and handle scheduling to ensure a seamless patient experience. A 1-3 year track record as a Dental Hygiene Assistant or Dental Assistant is preferred, with X-ray and CPR

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of proven experience as a Dental Hygiene Assistant or Dental Assistant
• X-ray and CPR certification required based on state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Dental Assistant is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Assist the dental hygienist during oral exams, teeth cleanings, and other dental procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dental hygienist or dentist
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment instructions
• Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, while ensuring a seamless patient experience
• Perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing patient paperwork
