Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers in Florida is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygiene Assistant to support the dental hygienist, prepare treatment rooms, and help deliver excellent patient care during routine hygiene procedures.

You will assist with dental exams, take and develop X-rays, maintain sterile environments, educate patients on oral hygiene, and handle light administrative tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience. A high school diploma and state X-ray certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Dental Assistant certification is a plus.
• X-ray certification may be required by state.
• Experience in dental assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Assist the dental hygienist during oral exams, teeth cleanings, and other dental procedure
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dental hygienist or dentist
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment instructions
• Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, while ensuring a seamless patient experience
• Perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing patient paperwork
