Job summary

Dentologie South Lake Union in Seattle, WA is hiring a full-time Hygiene Assistant to support the hygiene team and deliver outstanding patient care. The role offers competitive hourly pay of $25–$26, growth opportunities, benefits, a full schedule, and a fun, values-driven culture.

Responsibilities include preparing operatories, quickly turnover, sterilization, radiographs, charting, and assisting the hygienist while reinforcing home care and treatment instructions.

Qualifications

• DA experience or WA state dental assistant registration required.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up operatories: instruments, ultrasonic inserts, radiograph equipment, polish and fluoride.
• Turn over rooms quickly and thoroughly.
• Break down rooms with instrument transport, surface disinfection, waste disposal and restocking.
• Clean, package and autoclave instruments.
• Run biological monitoring and keep sterilization records accurate.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, PPE and bloodborne pathogen protocols daily.
• Greet and escort patients, review medical history updates and chief concerns.
• Take blood pressure (where applicable) and help patients feel comfortable before the hygienist arrives.
• Reinforce home care, product recommendations and post-treatment instructions.
• Take radiographs (FMX, bitewings, PAs, pano when applicable) to high standards.
