Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a dental assistant to support dentists in clinical procedures and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, patient greeting, and explaining insurance options, while adhering to HIPAA and infection control standards. Eligible candidates hold EFDA certification and radiography credentials, with Florida licensing considered per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong knowledge and skill of clinical needs.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and/or Radiography Certification on hire or within 90 days.
• Minimum of one-year dental experience preferred.
• Active EFDA certification or RDA/CDA license obtained per state guidelines.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Schedule and confirm appointments; welcome and escort patients.
• Explain insurance benefits and financial options to patients.
• Maintain infection control standards and MSDS documentation.
• Ensure operatories are stocked and equipment is maintained.
• Assist with laboratory duties as necessary.
• Notify supervisor of equipment or safety concerns.
