Delta Dental of Idaho is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to handle high-volume inbound calls and provide accurate benefit clarifications, claim status updates, and general service inquiries.

The role emphasizes courteous communication, knowledge of dental terminology, and collaboration with internal teams to improve workflows and service delivery. Hybrid work options exist after training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, or front Dental Office staff.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of dental terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Respond to stakeholder inquiries via phone or written correspondence using reference materials as needed.
• Process claims and adjustments accurately and promptly.
• Prepare inbound appeals for review.
• Suggest and implement workflow and processing improvements.
• May perform backup functions in areas after training, e.g., Plan setup and Provider Database Maintenance.
• Liaise for JIRA tickets with the Dental Services team and collaborate on assignments.
