Job summary

Remington College in Nashville is seeking a part-time Dental Assisting instructor to educate students in dental assisting with approved instructional methods. You will teach courses, assess student performance, and participate in faculty activities as part of a collaborative academic team.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years of hands-on dental experience, and applicable licensure or certification. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered for this role.

We’re seeking a dental professional, preferably with some teaching experience, to join the academic team at our Nashville Campus on a part-time basis. Salary is competitive.

As a Dental Assisting instructor, you will train students in your field of expertise using accepted and approved instructional methodology.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Teaches courses as assigned, instructs, and evaluates students, develops students’ skills and encourages growth, and tracks their attendance, performance, and grades.
• Participates in various administrative activities (e.g., attends faculty/staff meetings or in-service meetings).
• Participates in graduation ceremonies, as assigned.
• Participates regularly in continuing professional development activities.

Education/Experience Needed:

As a Dental Assisting instructor, you must believe in the power of sharing your knowledge, motivating others, and putting students first and must be passionate about training tomorrow’s work force.

Additional requirements include:

• High School Diploma or a GED.
• At least three (3) years of practical work experience as a dental assistant or dentist.
• Professional certification/licensure as required by state or national licensing agency or agencies.
