Babylon Dental Care in West Babylon, NY, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our clinical team at the Great South Bay location. You will support dentists, assist with patient care, and help maintain a welcoming, high‑quality practice.

With 3+ years of experience, bilingual English/Spanish is welcome, and a commitment to outstanding customer service. Training and growth opportunities are available in a supportive, family‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of Dental Assistant experience.
Flexibility to work 6 days a week, including early mornings, late evenings, and some holidays.
Exceptional hospitality‑inspired customer service in a fast paced practice.
Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish is welcomed.

Responsibilities

Assist with clinical procedures and take required X‑rays or scans as directed.
Manage appointment flow and schedule management.
Mentor new team members and support front desk handoffs.

What we will ask of you

Commitment to Babylon Dental Care and its patients, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. The clinical department is busy; we need someone who is reliable, team‑oriented, innovative, empathetic, professional, multi‑tasking, tech‑savvy, self‑motivated, calm under pressure, communicative, and upbeat.

Example of a Day as a Dental Assistant

Utilize radios and follow SOP.
Understand and use prosthetic forms.
Assist with lab case management.
Adhere to OSHA/sterilization and infection control protocols.
Participate in clinical procedures.
Lead new patient tours of the practice.
Keep up with email communications.
Manage patient anxieties and communicate financial responsibilities.
Learn and use dental software (Dentrix Ascend or similar).
Comfortable with Invisalign and iTero scans.
Master dismissal procedures.
Help run morning/afternoon huddles and prepare huddle sheets.
Mentor new team members.
Hand off patients to the front desk.
Own appointment flow and schedule management.
Invite satisfied patients for online reviews or referrals.
Collaborate to meet or exceed monthly goals and receive bonus.
Generate and review reports as directed.
Monitor treatment plans and case acceptance.
Follow "front stage" behavior.
Take required X‑rays or scans as directed.

We’re looking for someone who has

3 or more years of Dental Assistant experience.
Flexibility in scheduling: open 6 days a week, includes early morning, late evening, and some holidays; most work every other Saturday.
Exceptional hospitality‑inspired customer service in a fast‑paced practice.
Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through.
Positive, friendly, enthusiastic attitude and collaborative communication.
Outstanding teamwork skills with diverse groups.
Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish is welcomed.

Education

High school or equivalent (Required).
College degree optional.

Competitive Compensation: $20 to $28 per hour.
