Job summary

Aspen Dental in Williamsport, PA is looking for a Dental Assistant who will support clinicians, help patients feel welcome, and maintain a clean, efficient operatory throughout procedures. You will take dental x-rays, assist during treatment, set up and breakdown rooms, manage infection control, and support charting while delivering education on oral hygiene to patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state; including x-ray certification if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to provide patient care.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take dental x-rays.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
• Complete denture relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
• Perform digital intraoral scans.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
