Job summary

Lemmon Valley Dental Group is seeking a dental assistant to join our team in Reno, NV. You will learn basic assisting skills under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist and contribute to a positive patient experience.

No prior dental experience is required, but customer service experience is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under supervision of licensed dentist.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing needs and concerns.
• Learn how to complete infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning and disinfection to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide basic chairside support, then hand off to front desk for follow-up visit.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital system as directed.
• Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist before treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies).
