Job summary

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers in Milwaukee is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to support our oral surgeons and prosthodontists during implant procedures. You will help create a safe, efficient environment for patients throughout the treatment journey.

We offer a full-time role with competitive hourly pay, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and ongoing education through ClearChoice University. Monday–Friday schedule; no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant is required.
• Certifications meeting state requirements are required.
• Excellent manual dexterity and precision with surgical instruments.
• Strong focus on patient safety and compassionate care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures.
• Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous, and IV sedation as needed.
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and trays following infection control protocols.
• Take dental x-rays and prepare materials for impressions as directed.
• Support scheduling, patient greeting, and supply management to keep the office running smoothly.
• Collaborate with surgical and prosthetic teams to ensure seamless patient care.

What You’ll Do

• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures
• Anticipate clinician needs and maintain a clear, organized treatment area
• Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation procedures
• Ensure patient comfort, monitor well-being, and educate them on pre- and post-operative care
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and surgical trays, following strict infection control protocols
• Take dental x-rays and prepare materials for impressions, as directed
• Assist with medical clearances and patient record management
• Support office operations by scheduling, greeting patients, and managing supplies when needed
• Collaborate closely with the surgical and prosthetic teams to ensure seamless patient care

• Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant required
• Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle surgical instruments with precision
• Self-starter mentality with excellent focus on patient safety and care
