Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to learn dental assisting

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs and record treatment information in patient records
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs
• Clean teeth using dental instruments including polishing removable appliances
• Apply a protective coating of fluoride to teeth
• Fabricate temporary restorations and impressions from preliminary impressions
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts
• Assist established and new patients to maintain smooth patient flow
