Normandy Lake Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centric practice in Jacksonville, FL. You will be chairside across a wide range of procedures and help maintain smooth clinical operations with organized, proactive support.

The ideal candidate holds a Dental Assisting degree, a current X-Ray Certification, and at least two years of experience in a digital dental office, with excellent patient communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting degree required.
• Current X-Ray Certification required.
• At least 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Comfort with a digital dental office and charting systems.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside across a wide variety of dental procedures.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and support smooth clinical operations.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready.
• Take digital X-rays and assist with scanning as needed.
• Provide excellent patient support by explaining procedures and calming nerves.
• Ensure proper infection control and sterilization standards are followed.
• Participate in the morning huddle and collaborate with the team daily.
• Support charting and assist with documentation as needed.
• Help create an exceptional experience for every patient, every visit.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the team culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Have a Dental Assisting degree
• Hold a current X-Ray Certification
• Have at least 2 years of dental assisting experience
• Be confident working in a digital dental office (digital X-rays, scanners, charting systems)
• Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and teammates
• Show strong initiative and take pride in doing things the right way
• Be dependable, punctual, and team-driven
