Salt Dental Partners is seeking a licensed orthodontic dental assistant to support the lead orthodontist. You will record medical histories, take X-rays, and prepare treatment rooms, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.

Your role includes patient education, appliance placement/removal, and meticulous documentation in Epic to support care coordination within a fast-paced orthodontic team.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of orthodontic experience and hands-on skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
• Current Registered Dental Assistant license is required.

• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including taking and developing x-rays and photographs, contributing to precise diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments, ensuring a safe, clean environment for every procedure.
• Support with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances, playing a vital role in our patients' journey to a healthier, more confident smile.
• Educate patients on the best oral hygiene practices and proper care of their orthodontic appliances, empowering them to take charge of their dental health.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including coding and documentation, using Epic software to streamline patient care.
• Be a key part of a collaborative team that provides exceptional service to patients and families alike!

What We’re Looking For:

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
• Required: Minimum of 2 years of orthodontic experience—your hands-on expertise will make a difference!
• Required: Current Registered Dental Assistant license.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Dolphin Management software scheduling, charting, and patient communication.
• A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages—your friendly demeanor will help our patients feel at ease!
• A solid understanding of medical coding and documentation practices to support our team's operational efficiency.
