People's Dentistry in Escondido, California is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of dental assisting experience and enjoys working with patients in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Responsibilities include four-handed chairside support, patient preparation, X-rays where certified, and maintaining records and infection control.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience and familiarity with four-handed dentistry.
Candidate must hold DA or California RDA license and CPR/BLS certification.
Radiation safety certification and California infection-control training required.
Comfort with digital radiography and dental practice-management software.

Responsibilities

Provide four-handed chairside assistance during general dental procedures.
Prepare and seat patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort.
Set up and break down treatment rooms.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
Take quality digital X-rays when certified.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Provide post-operative and oral-hygiene instructions as directed.
Take impressions, pour models, fabricate temporary restorations, and perform other duties within scope.
Maintain clinical supplies and keep rooms stocked.
Assist front-office staff to support smooth patient flow.
