Edward Liu DDS PLLC is a private general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry practice in Holt, Michigan seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support Dr. Liu with chairside care, sterilization, and imaging.

This non-DSO environment offers mentorship, a collaborative team, and opportunities to expand clinical skills in cosmetic and general dentistry, with a Monday–Friday day schedule and competitive compensation.

Competenze

Valid Michigan RDA license with radiography certification.
2+ years dental assisting experience.
Experience capturing digital X-rays and 3D scans.
Strong communication skills; ability to make anxious patients comfortable.

Mansioni

Assist during restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
Four-handed chairside dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms under aseptic techniques.
Capture digital X-rays and 3D scans; update EMR records via Open Dental or Dexis.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and assist front-desk duties as needed.

Led by board-certified implantologist Dr. Edward Liu, DDS, we operate an advanced, health-centered facility complete with an on-site laboratory and state-of-the-art technologies like 3D printing and digital scanners. Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As an essential Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in our clinical team, you will collaborate closely with Dr. Liu to provide exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities include providing comfortable chairside assistance, ensuring flawless instrument sterilization, taking diagnostic digital X-rays, and managing electronic charts. Pay

$24 - $30 per hour
Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Commission-Based Incentives: Benefit from incentives based on your contributions to procedures like impression taking, equipment setup, and patient education.

Shift & Schedule

Monday to Friday
Day shift
Work Hours: To be discussed during the interview.
Breaks: 30-45 -minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts, compensated at double time.

Requirements

License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support, Driver’s license, Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant, X-ray / Radiography Certification, Infection Control License
Software Experience: Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dexis
Clinical Experience: Emergency Dentistry, General Dentistry
Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental assistant with 2+ years of practice

Preferences

License & Certification: Basic life support
Clinical Experience: Emergency Dentistry, General Dentistry

Licensure: Valid registration as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Michigan

Experience: 2 to 4 years of dental assisting experience with a solid clinical foundation in general and cosmetic dentistry

Skills: Experience capturing digital X-rays and 3D scans, managing EMR records via Open Dental and Dexis, and utilizing aseptic techniques

Job Description

In this role, you will assist during restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Daily duties include preparing treatment rooms under strict aseptic techniques, performing four-handed chairside dentistry, and capturing digital X-rays or 3D scans. Additionally, you will update patient medical histories, manage dental records via Open Dental or Dexis EMR systems, educate patients on post-treatment care, and support front-desk reception duties when needed.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a valid Michigan Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with radiography certification. We look for detail-oriented professionals with strong communication skills who make patients feel respected and comfortable.
