Job summary

Mountain Park Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dental team by performing procedures allowed under Arizona State Dental Laws and aiding in patient care. The role includes sterilization of equipment, patient education on treatment and scheduling, and insurance authorization guidance.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Radiology/X-Ray certification is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists dental provider and hygienists in delivering dental services.
• Performs routine radiographic imaging as required by AZ RHS certificate.
• Accurately records treatment and codes charges; prepares treatment plans on charts.
• Communicates treatment plans and fees to patients or guardians as directed by dentists/hygienists.
• Prepares and maintains all dental trays and instruments; ensures sterilization and cleanliness.
• Completes Instrument Processing: Level 2 Competency and maintains sterilization inventory.
• Delivers and communicates status of dental laboratory cases; coordinates with back and front office teams.
• Travels to other Mountain Park locations as assigned to support patient care.
• Maintains regular attendance and performs other duties as required.
