The Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide clinical support in the Department of Oral Medicine. The role partners with the Section Chief and staff dentists to deliver oral care to patients.

Responsibilities include preparing operatory, sterilizing instruments, assisting chairside, taking radiographs, maintaining records, and participating in education programs. State of Iowa radiography certification is required.

Formación

• Must have Iowa radiography certification.
• Must be registered as a dental assistant in Iowa.
• Graduate from an accredited dental assisting program or one year relevant work experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares operatory/clinic for treatment activities by arranging instruments and supplies.
• Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes and maintains dental instruments and equipment.
• Exposes digital dental radiographs and fabricates study models.
• Assists dentists at chairside and in special settings.
• Maintains patient records consistent with clinic policy.
