Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dental team in delivering safe, effective care to American Indian and Alaska Native communities. You will assist with restorative and surgical procedures, maintain sterility, and educate patients on aftercare while supporting clinic operations.

Responsibilities include radiography, patient records management, and ensuring high-quality oral health services in the community setting.

Qualifications

• Must have experience and/or education to perform duties.
• Specialized experience in dental assistance (expanded function) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in all phases of restorative and surgical procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterilize instruments.
• Expose and process dental radiographs following radiation-safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
