Qualifications

• Dental assistant registration must be current and continuously maintained with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
• Must maintain a current CPR.

Responsibilities

• Takes and records patient health history and vital signs; performs radiography and basic dental procedures.
• Provides assistance in preventive, restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery procedures.
• Maintains clinic orderliness and sterilization; manages inventory and tracking of supplies.
• Operates data entry and scheduling systems; generates routine reports and correspondence.
• Performs general administrative duties including filing, calls, mail, scanning, emailing and faxing.
• Prepares impressions and coordinates with the Dental Laboratory; tracks prosthetic cases.
