Job summary

Families Together of Orange County (FTOC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical operations in our Tustin, California location. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, sterilize instruments, and help manage supplies while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires CPR and X-ray certifications, bilingual Spanish, and a high school diploma or equivalent. This on-site position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with Saturday availability, emphasizing teamwork,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills focused on patient care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and X-ray certifications required.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room for the patient according to prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Welcome, seat, and drape the patient for dental treatment.
• Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments; pass instruments to the dentist.
• Prepare materials by mixing and placing them in the mouth as needed.
• Expose radiographs; develop studies; assist with study casts as required.
• Assist in emergencies and maintain CPR readiness and equipment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Document care in patient records and maintain confidentiality.
