Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
  • Current registration as a Dental Assistant (RDA) in the relevant state.
  • X-ray certification and experience in taking and developing dental X-rays.
  • Proficiency with dental software and appointment scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including room setup, instrument passing, temporary crown fabrication, digital scanning, and Invisalign case management.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays with accuracy and safety compliance.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment per infection-control standards.
  • Manage patient flow: greet patients, gather medical histories, review treatment plans and post-op instructions.
  • Maintain accurate charts, treatment notes, and billing information in line with privacy regulations.
  • Schedule and manage appointments, patient communication, and follow-ups.
