Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the Dental Clinic - MP. You will assist the dentist with patient care, manage chair-side duties, and handle sterilization and radiography. The role covers a wide age range from children to seniors and requires radiography certification.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED and graduation from a certified dental assistant program, plus MA licensure for radiography. The position is on-site in Boston.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required. Graduate of a certified dental assistant program (or equivalent, such as 1 year experience in a dental office doing chair side or completion of Armed Forces training) is also required.

Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations

• Must be certified in radiographs /or graduate of a certified dental program in order to perform x-rays.
• Must have a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Dental Assistant License.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of oral hygiene and dental assistance functions.
• Excellent manual dexterity, and ability to perform detailed and accurate work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that demonstrate concern and caring attitude towards patients, family members and staff.
• Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to enter and access data/information.

Compensation Range

$21.39- $30.05
