Qualifications

  • Current CPR and first aid certificates required.
  • Ability to work with people of all ages.
  • Basic mathematics skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and sterilize/disinfect instruments and operatories.
  • Take medical and dental histories and record vital signs.
  • Take and expose dental X-rays.
  • Make preliminary impressions for study casts and pour casts.
  • Assist dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies.
  • Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control.
  • Apply topical fluoride to teeth and provide post-operative instructions.
  • Receive supplies and manage inventory.
  • Keep the work area clean and follow clinic guidelines.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
