Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of Dental Assisting Program or minimum one year experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Current Dental Assisting Permit Required; CPR Certification Required; X-Ray Certification required to serve chairside.
• Proficiency with Eaglesoft and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance; annual MVR check if using company vehicles.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control and protective equipment usage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, and assist Dentist during procedures.
• Record treatment information in patient records and use Eaglesoft for charting.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs; manage emergencies.
• Provide postoperative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
